big screen TV, nice comfy bed, nice bathroom
No computer available in the lobby, staff quite unpleasant
Sumner Hotel is good hotel. It is not very expensive (less than $100 a night), the subway is real close to it (not even 2 minutes away and about 10 minutes from Manhattan). Also, it's a new hotel so everything works perfectly and looks neat. The room was big enough for two, the bed is a queen sized one and is quite comfortable. You have free internet and tv cable. The bathroom is clean, not very big but big enough. There's a room service everyday, the bed is done when you get back and clean towels are provided everyday. There's a free coffee machine next to the hall. The neighborhood is not the prettiest ever but we never had any troubles going back to the hotel. It is a safe area.
You have to talk to employees through a glass which doesn't make it very easy but you sort it out. Also, the walls and doors don't really prevent the noise from getting in your room. The first morning in the hotel we have been awaken by people working in the hotel, it was really loud. That was a Sunday morning....It never happened again but then there was little other noises (other guests, cleaning service people).
We had a very pleasant surprise.....My daughter lives in Williamsburg and we went for an overnight and couldn't have picked a better hotel. Went across the street in the morning for coffee and egg sandwich. Around the corner was budget shopping and fast food......Can't wait to plan our next trip there!...Went to Moto's for Brunch, highly recommened....date cake is a must!
It was affordable and very close to the metro stop.
It was very noisy. They were working on one of the rooms at 8am on a Saturday, which was not ideal for someone on vacation. Also, housekeeping came at 6pm 3 out of the 5 days of our stay. It was very much a nuisance.
Location 100 meters to subway station, clean rooms, good internet connection, air condition, nice bathroom, comfortable bed.
The room & all stuff, are very helpful.. Everything is nice inside the hotel very cheap and great for a weekend.
The location of the hotel is just one block from the Subway j and m trains; very easy to get just about anywhere we needed to go. We could get to Manhatten in about 15 minutes. The room was clean as was the facility. It seemed to be a fairly new building and they were making an effort to keep it nice. Good value for the money, at least comparing it to anything else in Brooklyn/NYC.
Bad Location, Handling reservations, Some staff members' attitude, Price
Easy access to subway and connecting neighborhoods.
Location is good. The hotel is new.
A lot of noises! Ice machine, and other beeps in the hallway.
hotel itself was fine but its location was in spotty area
The hotel staff were nice and I really like the comfort and cleanliness of the room.
I didnt like the fact that there was no parking available, I and my husband went out a lot and when we came back we almost couldnt find parking. I also didnt like the fact that when I saw the price of the hotel at Booked.net it was $269.97 and that is the reason I booked it because I thought it was cheap and when I checked my credit card statement they ended up charging me $320 to me that was not fair and when I asked the hotel staff about it they told me that it was the tax. To me I thought tax was already added and them charging me $320 came as a surprise and that is false advertising.
Silence and the staff is excellent
I like the location and the atmosphere was peaceful and there was plenty of places to go
The hotel was very new and clean. Originally, I had been worried about the location but when I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. I felt very comfortable. The area was busy with people, awesome street deals and cool restaurants and stores. I adored the neighborhood. Very street chic.
Everything was great. I would definitely stay there again. I plan to come back. I do wish checkout time was a little later. Maybe 12 instead of 11.
